Just leased a new 2020 limited edition GS-6 in April which was hand built in California. One of 6 in white in the world and thought this was going to be an amazing dream machine. However, I have had the car for a total of 10 days since having it delivered because the build quality was horrific. The panels were completely off, paint overspray on lower front spoiler, Windows didn't seal correctly because of the doors being off, fender ripple and various other exterior issues with spacing. It has become apparent that the robot assembly line is much better at details than humans ever thought about being at the Karma headquarters. The car is being put back together and realigned currently but having a car for 10 days out of the first 40 days of ownership provides for a very uneasy feeling and something I feel Karma should compensate me for. I give credit where credit is due and they picked up the month two payment (I paid the first month payment with the initial lease so they should pay me for that as well in my opinion). I am a very patient person but this is becoming a very frustrating venture. Anyone else with a GS-6 limited edition have these types of body issues?
Update as we are into the 8th week since dropping off the vehicle on May 3, 2021. Still no car and the patience I had has disappeared. Hopefully the company and dealership come up with something to remove the distaste in my heart before this turns into a legal issue. It's been the most horrific buying and ownership experience I have ever had and I would not even call it ownership when I have only had the car for 10 days of the first 60 since the purchase.
Karma Automotive does not stand by their product this has been apparent from the beginning you are better off doing a lemon buy back before you are stuck with this turd and its massive depreciation
Thanks for the post. I am giving the company until Wednesday to produce the car and if not, they will be returning all monies paid. I wish I had been the only person with this level of service but I can see now that I am not alone. Hope your story ended better than mine has the potential to end.
