Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about more than just wearing pink. It’s about educating the general public about a disease that one in eight women will be diagnosed with in their lifetime.
This weekend, we honored those touched by this disease as flagship sponsors of “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” in Costa Mesa, CA. Held nationwide, the American Cancer Society fundraising campaigns are a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors.
Our Karma family raised over $22,000 during the donation-only event. The American Cancer Society has raised more than $935 million nationwide over its 25-year history. The money raised at this event is used not only for cancer research, but also to support patients actively seeking treatment.
Over 45 employees and family members participated in the 5K walk. We also debuted a Revero wrapped in pink and invited the 7,000 attendees to sign their names and leave encouraging words about their experience with the disease.
Whether we’ve faced it ourselves, or someone we love has, almost everyone has been affected by breast cancer in some way. Karma will continue supporting the American Cancer Society in their fight to save lives.
